The short version
Everything you make in Sabeeha stays on your computer. Sabeeha has no account, no cloud, no analytics and no advertising. The only thing it ever sends anywhere is your licence key, to check it is valid.
Who we are
Sabeeha is made by Al Mubarakah, a company registered in South Africa ("we", "us"). Write to mikaeel@sabeeha.ai about anything on this page.
What the app keeps, and where
Your maps, notes, the pictures you capture, the words read from them, your terms, questions, answers, settings and backups are stored in a folder on your own computer (on Windows, in your user folder under AppData\Roaming\Sabeeha). Reading the words in a picture happens on your computer. None of it is sent to us or to anyone else. If you choose a folder for your backups that another service copies (OneDrive, for example), that service's own privacy terms apply to those copies.
Sabeeha keeps a short log of what it does, in the same folder, to help if something goes wrong. It stays on your computer unless you choose to send it to us.
What the app sends: your licence check
When you enter a licence key, and about once a day afterwards, Sabeeha sends to our payment and licence provider, Dodo Payments:
- your licence key;
- an identifier for this activation of it; and
- when you first activate it, your computer's name as Windows knows it, so you can tell your computers apart if you need to free one.
Nothing from your maps is ever part of it. Like any internet request, it also carries your computer's internet address.
When you buy a licence
Payments are taken by Dodo Payments, who sell Sabeeha on our behalf as the merchant of record. They collect your name, email address, billing details and payment details, under their own privacy policy. We receive your name, email address, what you bought and when, so that we can send your key, answer your questions and give refunds. We never see your card details.
When you write to us
"Report a problem" in Sabeeha opens an email in your own email program, with Sabeeha's version and your version of Windows filled in; nothing is sent unless you send it. We keep the emails you send us for as long as we need them to help you.
This website
This site sets no cookies and runs no analytics. It is hosted by GitHub (GitHub Pages), whose servers, like any web server, may record visitors' internet addresses for security; see GitHub's privacy statement.
Your rights
You can ask us what we hold about you, to correct it, or to delete it, by writing to mikaeel@sabeeha.ai. Your maps are on your computer and only you can delete them; uninstalling Sabeeha leaves them in place, so you can delete the folder yourself if you want them gone.
Children
Sabeeha is for people aged 16 and over. It is not directed at anyone younger, and we do not knowingly collect their information; if you believe someone under 16 has given us theirs, write to us and we will delete it.
Changes
If this policy changes, the new version will be on this page with a new date.
